I LITERALLY have no words for this.
I'm also worried about transpeoples chance to have a kid. In some country transsexual diagnosis is "mental illness" (when it's not: if you're depressed you can get better, but trans is always trans) - try to get adoption with that. After forced sterilization, saved eggs/sperm will be destroyed as well. One chance is to make biological child before forced sterilization and juridical sex change - no matter of your life situation, age, is it against your gender identity, are you sure you ever want to have kids... ID is not a medical reason for these forced sterilizations. Transpeople can get healthy child and be a great parents too.
At the same time some country, you can not have sterilization just because it's your own will. Society tries to "protect" our ability to make children ("you will regret it afterwards"). Where's our right over our own bodies?
Same question: why you can get surgery for big boobs if you're just ready to pay, but for cutting off you need diagnosis.
That is seriously fucked up!!!!
There are clinics here. Some I've heard are really good while others are stuffed with cissexist doctors. (why do you decide to work with trans if you're cissexist?!
There are hatecrimes in Sweden and I know plenty of trans people who receive nasty comments, but I don't think Sweden is especially bad when it comes to that kind of narrow-mindedness....
