I abosolutely love your comics. You don't overload them with pathos or sap, you just show a way-too-common situation, and let it do the work.
Someone who read this and couldn't feel sympathy isn't just a homophobe, they're a sociopath.
It's just unerringly sad how nervous "unusual" couples are made to feel about the most basic expresion of love, and how microagressions can whittle away at self confidence no matter how the agressor in question might feel it was "only a joke". Imagine if some poor woman like this actually gave up a chance at a relationship because they just couldn't take the shame and abuse, and it was a little moment like this that was the last straw that broke the camel's back!
The writing and art are excellent. I especially enjoy the inks- it is so expressive. The sound effect *DUNK* when he his the bottle on the bus stop, is extremely effective, as I heard it perfectly.
